Tonight is a little harder so far. She has come out three times. I am downstairs with the video monitor and Ryan is upstairs. I tell her to lay down when I see her get up. Then I count to 3. If she's not back in bed, Ryan goes in and lays her back down. Right now she is laying there in bed screaming, but not getting out.
Here are pics of her before the aforementioned screaming fit.

I have been wanting for so long to change Bean's bed to a "big girl bed."
However, she WILL. NOT. STAY. THERE. Or conversely, she will not go to sleep because the temptation to get up and MOVE is far too tempting. And if she has something to do? Forget it. Her crib is devoid of anything except her babydoll and her music/light thing. Even at daycare, they've tried moving her to a bedmat like all the other kids, but she gets up constantly and pokes the other kids until they wake up, too. So she has her own crib in her own room still.
Sigh. Sleeping has always been an issue with Bean. So for now, she's in a crib and it helps her fall asleep-- out of sheer boredom if nothing else.
Maybe someday, when she's 16 or so, I'll be able to take off some railings =)

Oh my sweet Natalie in her big girl bed!! So sweet! What a big girl she deserves some candy! :D
Annie was like that. The best thing to do is just to keep putting her back in her bed without saying a word... so they say. Annie is no longer in her own bed... I think it's because we move too much. Somewhere along the way, she ended up on a palette in our bedroom (better than in the bed!) despite the fact that she has a brand new bunkbed in her room! Hmph!
Oh, poor Kim...those are the days I remember and dread. very similar to when I moved MJ out of the crib. Hey, there's nothing that says she has to move. I've known kids to be in cribs until they are 3. If she sleeps better there, may as well.
She is such a pretty girl! Hilary
This is too funny, we just switched our Munchkin over to a big bed this week, and I just blogged about it, too! I'm glad you blogged about it too because now I know I'm not the only one who thinks it's a REALLY BIG DEAL! ;-)
