Lazy Saturday

Poor Natalie. I gave her my cold/allergies and everything she breathes you can hear her little nose is so clogged up. We're getting tons of use out of the hospital's free booger-getter-outer. She also tries to clear her throat to get it out of there. No fever though, so that's good news. It made her sleep pretty well..10 to 2, then to 5:30, then to 8:45. It was so nice sleeping in, and Ryan did the 2am feed so I feel like a normal sleeper!!! Here's her napping the cold away today.

Gym

We all went to the gym today- Ryan played raquetball, and Natalie and I went to the 'family' room. The have cardio and weight equipment and you can take in kids with a car seat or they go in a little play area. Anyway, the point is I stuck her on the scale and she's 9 lb 13 oz! She's still gaining and I'm still losing...total loss 20 lbs, 13 to go.

So Natalie has a color changing dog (like fiber optic) and she just seems to really like it. She'll focus right on it and watch the colors change. She seems very intent!

Big Girl

Last night, Natalie slept in her own room and crib for the first time. She slept from 10:30-3:00 and 3:30-6:45. Yay! We have our bedroom back - no more tip toeing in the dark to not wake her up. She is sacked out right now for her evening nap. Ryan went back to days, so we moved her so we could sleep a little more soundly without hearing every whimper (she makes noises like a guinea pig in her sleep). She's 3 weeks old today and getting bigger all the time.

So Hard...

It's so hard to be a baby!

Here are mom, dad, and baby going to church for the first time. It was the 4th birthday of our church, and she slept in the sling with mommy through the entire hooplah!

First Shopping Trip

Here's our first shopping trip to the outlet mall with Grandma Windle. Both of her grandmas are going to take her shopping a lot, so she better get used to it! Then mommy and Natalie had to rest from our busy day, the busiest since she's been born.

My dress and 1 week old!

Heres the dress I came home from the hospital in. She looks so sweet. Yesterday she weighed 7 lb and 15 oz, Friday she only weighed 7 lb 9 oz. She's almost back to her birth weight in under a week! She feels like she's been here so much longer than a week. I can't imagine going back to life without her. For some reason, when I change diapers, she always goes to the bathroom on me - never on Ryan. She even went on the dining room wall! Things will not be the same around here for sure!

Great Sleep!

So I was reading about it not being too eary to have a 'bedtime' routine. So last night, to try to avoid the 'fussies', we started a routine. I put bedtime lotion and pj's on, turned on the night light and lullaby music and fed her at 10:00. Then Ryan read her a chapter from the bible and she was passed out. She slept until 2:45! Then I fed her in the dark without talking to her, and she slept again until 6:30! I feel so great!!!!

So far, so good. Ryan and I are getting used to being at home with Natalie. His dad just went home today, and my parents left on Thursday. We'll see how we do now all by ourselves! She's started getting really fussy from 12-3 am...so we're working on trying to get past that. But luckily there is time to nap in the day! Here's a picture of Natalie in an outfit I wore as a baby. Apparently Natalie fills it out much better than I did - she's a chunk. Other than that, she looks like my twin (my mom's comment).

Home!

We're finally home! We came home Thursday at noon after going in Monday at 7:30 am. 7:30 PM Monday they broke my water. Natalie came relatively quickly after. I had an epidural, and got one of those WONDERFUL headaches after...so this morning I had a second epidural to patch the first one up and I feel much better! Here's a few more pics...oh, and Drake is doing very well - he loves her too!
