Finding things
Natalie has been busy this week finding her hands. They've been in her mouth a lot more, and on purpose! She's also been smiling a lot more. It's so nice to go get her from the crib in the morning and she just grins up at me. Don't you love this dress? Miss Susan sent it to her and we just love it! Everyone at church wanted to hold her (she goes in the baby room now) but she was asleep the whole time. She is kind of following a nap schedule now, so it was her nap time anyway. Oh well, here's the pics!

Weekend Warriors
Following the trend of Susan and Pam, we tackled a weekend project. Though we didn't make it to the yard yet. I saw these sconces on sale at Target (go figure) so we decided to update all the lighting in our bathrooms. I think they make the ceilings look taller since the point up. The old ones were chintzy brass ones that hung over the mirror and came with the house. We also got towel bars/rings and TP holders to match. Now the only brass left in our house are the door and drawer pulls. But all our lighting is brushed silver. Yay!

Fart Funny
So I was changing Natalie today. She had just woken up and was still kind of drowsy. I laid her on the table, which has a vinyl pad on it. I took off her diaper and got the next one ready. Remember, I do cloth so it takes me a bit to prepare. Natalie is squirming around, stretching, trying to wake up. All of a sudden, she let a big one rip. Then it kind of vibrated on the pad so it was even louder. She scared herself I guess because her arms and legs started flailing everywhere! Wish that would have been on video!!

We're Home
We had a great trip to St. Louis. Natalie was a pretty good flier on the plane. We had fun at our friends wedding and at Natalie's baptism and party. It was great to see all of our family and friends, but it made us miss being around them often. Special thanks to my cousin Krista, her fiance Aaron, my friend Hilary and her husband Nick for being Natalie's godparents. Thanks to Susan and Sam for driving us to wedding events. Thanks to our families for meals and rooms. Thanks to everyone for loving on Natalie, we feel so blessed to have so many people love her like we do. Here are a few pics of our adventures.

Smiles
Finally got some on camera! Her eyes just light up, I love it! Oh, and a story about me!!! It's not all about Natalie these days you know...So Friday I went with some friends from work to a bar called Saddleridge (so obviously a country establishment). I walked past a guy in Wranglers, boots, and a big old hat. He stopped me and said, "Well aren't you a tall drink of water". How cheesy is that line? But it felt good to be hit on, and I felt a bit sly that he didn't know I was a mom!

Isn't It Spring???
We woke up this morning to about 2 inches of snow all over our yard! It's still snowing!! It isn't sticking to the roads, but it is definately snow. I wish I had batteries!!!! I took video of Drake playing in it though so that was pretty funny.

No batteries
There has been a lack of posts this week due to no batteries in my camera, and my typing isn't nearly as interesting or cute! Things are going well. Today Natalie did her first real smiles, now the trick is actually getting them on camera. She smiles at the bunnies on her mobile and at Ryan. I got one out of her earlier today. She's also been sleeping 10-3:30 and 4-6:30 so that's great - the last 2 weeks she was getting up at 2 and 4. We've done 2 playgroups this week and I did mom's night out for coffee at Panera on Monday. Other than that, we're getting ready for her first plane trip next week. More pictures to come soon after a trip to the store!

Ryan and Natalie were just hanging out last night and looked so sweet. Drake was passing out just along with her. Today she was dressed for the 80's in a new spring outfit in her new bouncer seat. She seems to love hanging out in there. For those who have been curious, cloth diapering is going really well. We bought Bumkins covers - they are like a waterproof diaper shaped cover, so all we do is fold a cloth diaper in thirds, lay it in the cover, and velcro it on like a disposable. Then I wash diapers every other day when my pail gets full. We use disposables at night and when we are out and about.
