SNOW much fun!

Ha ha, bad pun, I know. That's what I get for watching too many episodes of CSI. They are full of puns...

We had a blast sledding, riding in the sled, making Paula Dean's Snow Ice Cream, and making snow angels. This was the first year we sent Natalie down a hill and she loved it! Check out this action sequence!

It was a fun day and although it was a little too bright for Jacob's liking, he tolerated it for a little while!

Coloring Cutie

Natalie LOVES to color and draw. Out of all her toys, she probably likes coloring and drawing at her desk the best. She's gotten pretty good at drawing stick people - she even gives Jacob a little mohawk! Now she's been spending time back in the coloring books and I was surprised at how well she stays in the lines!

Here's a cute picture of her modeling the new dress and bow I made her yesterday! If you aren't a fan of k. mae designs on Facebook, become one please!

Funny Things Natalie Says

It's been awhile since I posted some of these...

I caught her with her Princess Snow Globe in her bed last night. She said "You should put this away, it's dangerous". Like she wasn't the one that put it in her bed...

She is singing "Pants on the ground, looking a foo with your pants on the ground".

I am getting corrected ALL the time. Like if I say to put on shoes, but mean boots. "Silly mommy, you didn't know what those were called".

3 Months Old

My how time flies! My baby is laughing, smiling, rolling and a happy boy! He weighs 12.5 (with me holding him and subtracting at home) and is between 23 and 24 inches long. We love Jacob!

Jacob Rolls!

Happy Birthday Daddy!

Happy 29th birthday to Ryan! Natalie copied the words to make this card for him, and drew her, daddy, and a cake on the back! We hope your day is special and love you more than you know!

Jacob's Baptism

What a joyus occasion we had. Thanks so much for everyone who came out to celebrate with us. He looked handsome in his outfit that my mother in law had made. He even wore my shoes that were worn by my mom and several of my cousins as well. The service was nice, and the pastor sang some songs to him after the baptism which was really neat.

Natalie was cute, at first. She was singing her own songs in a loud, out of tune voice during the hymns. She sings "Halle you laaaa tee ray-ay-ayse" which is Hallelujah he reigns...but there's no correcting her. Then she started yelling about not wanting to be at church. When I tried to quiet her down she said "Quit shutting me up". Ryan took her out and you could hear her scream all the way out the doors. But we enjoyed the service as best as we could.

Opa's Retirement

We made a quick one day trip to St. Louis to celebrate the end of Opa's career in law enforcement! The party was at Old Spaghetti Factory and it was delicious! I even receieved flowers too. Congratulations!

Jacob even held his own bottle!

Vacation Catch Up

Here's the highlights of our trip so far!

* Drove 18-20 hours. NO fun, but J slept almost all the times and Natalie was up until 2am! EEK!
* Hung with Heather and her family before their big move to Texas! They celebrated New Years with us and we let the kids exchange Christmas presents. She also announced she's pregnant with baby #4!
* Onto our friend Sondra's! She had an open house for us and I got to see some mommy, teaching, and church friends. Then we did some outlet shopping on Saturday.
* Ryan and I attended the Dominice/Karslake wedding. We were so pleased to have been invited. The Dominice are one of our favorite families. I hope we can raise our children in their example!
* Went to Water's Edge Church on Sunday and boy we miss that place and the people who attend there. It was nice to see so many familiar faces and show off our little miracle.
* I read a book! In a day. Imagine me sitting still that long! It was Dear John by Nicholas Sparks.
* Ryan drove home, with a pit stop to meet my parents to pick up some more things they've tracked down for us and collected. He made it home much faster than we made it out here!
* Today has been relaxing and visiting with another friend Now I'm about to run a few kidless errands when Sondra gets home from doing the same. Then tacos for dinner and going out to coffee with some mom friends.

And to think I still have 4 days left! What other fun will we plan? Taking the girls to a movie at the Movie Tavern, seeing a girlie movie one evening without the kids, watching her kid so they can go on a date, dinner with our old community group? Hopefully some more shopping too!!!

Thanks to Ryan for unloading and hauling our stuff. Hopefully Christmas decor will be banished back to the basement before I get home too!

See all the STL people on Saturday and Sunday for parties and showers!
