Holiday Hoopla

We're about ready to head home from our holiday vacation. We had a great time visiting both our families and many of our friends. Ryan and I got some great Christmas gifts, most especially a new vacuum and pots and pans for the house. With the baby getting all new things, I've been motivated to get the house cleaned up and new things for us to use too. Somehow I ruined my first set of pots and with all the dog hair we needed a more sophisticated sweeper. All of our friends that were available met us for dinner and games, and Ryan had a night out with the guys while I went to my first baby shower. Baby girl got some beautiful clothes (some handmade ones), some fuzzy blankets, and great toys. Our 6 suitcases are overflowing and we are so blessed to have recieved such wonderful holiday and baby gifts. I can't wait to get home and unpack and organize! New Year's will be spent at our friend Lisa's wedding, so that will be a blast. We get home Sunday afternoon and head straight to the wedding basically. We can't pick Drake up until Tuesday so I'll be a little sad. Hopefully I'll post some pictures after people send them to me - my camera batteries died! Happy New Year! The next time I see my STL people I'll be a mom!

Nursery Update

A friend of my family, Elaine, made us this beautiful blanket and lamp for the nursery. It fits perfectly with Ryan's bunny theme. You can see the bunny he made at the teddy bear store too. Everything is looking ready!

31 Weeks (out of 40)

9 weeks to go! Only one more week of school, then a week off for Winter Break - YAY! Ryan and I had Christmas early, since we'll be traveling and having lots to do over our trip. He was a great gift giver and had such cute gift tags like (To Ice Toes From The Heater). Each cute nickname gave me a clue about what was inside (big thick socks!) He was so creative and sweet.

No pictures to post right now. Just an update of what's new in the Windle's World. Ryan is going to be working the midnight shift for a bit, which is fine because he's asleep while I'm at work so we still get our evenings together. We've been trying to make it to the gym daily. We start our childbirth classes every Tuesday in December from 5:30-7:30 so that should be interesting. Work is going well for both of us - I love my class this year and Ryan is keeping up with the same old same old over at Langley. We're excited to be taking a trip at Christmas, although I am nervous about being crammed into a small, uncomfortable airline seat but it should go by quickly. I'll post pictures on Friday, when I'll be 30 weeks - 75% done!
