Everyday I am surprised at the things a 13 month old can do! I never realized she would be able to communicate so much and plan out things she wants to do.
* Last night she got the stepstool out of her room, brought it to the gate at the top of the stairs. She climbed on it and pushed the button to try to open the gate. That's a lot of planning! We've never even used the stepstool.
* She took her Backyardigans tv tray/table and moved it to the toy box bench. She climbed on the tray, up to the bench, and sat down to read a book!
* She says mommy, mine, daddy, doggy, baby, here you go, thank you, arf, quack, and probably a few more I am not understanding. She even can do the sign for elephant where she lifts her arm up and makes and odd squealing noise!
* She can go get shoes, cups, and books. She always remembers where she leaves things, which is better than her Daddy and I somedays!
* She finds any open door and closes it. Except for the fridge. Anytime that is open before you notice she has grabbed 2 salad dressings and made a run for the family room!
* She does not listen to no. However, if you tell her "Put it back" or "Give it back" or give her a direction of what to do instead, that works like a charm. Even for the dog food...still a problem!
I'll get some cute pictures of Sean and Natalie this week with Susan and give you some updates of our fun!
