Nothing too exciting going on this week, now that I'm back spending the evenings by myself. My mailman just came at 8pm which was really odd. I thought he already came because there was a piece of junk mail stuck in the box, but I guess that was from yesterday. Our friends Sam and Susan are coming the end of July, YAY. Ryan is taking almost the whole month of July off of work, so we're trying to plan a trip to MO and to TX to see families. That should be a great month, especially after our 'time apart' while he is on his other shift at work. We're running a 5-K this weekend and trying to get a good time. I'll post some pictures and let you know how it goes. 11 days of school!!!!

Memorial Day Weekend

Ryan and I had a BBQ tonight, Friday. We had 5 couples over until about 9. We're pet sitting a chocolate lab until Sunday for our friend. Then Sunday/Monday we are going with friend from church to a house on the Rappahanock River. Ryan and I are taking our kayaks, it will be fun. Ryan goes back to work on Tuesday and will be working the 3pm to 11pm shift. So we won't see each other. Sigh.

Wow, a whole week has passed since I blogged. No pictures or anything interesting really. I'm just so glad to have a husband again. We're enjoying doing just about anything. He is kinda tired of being off of work, he has this coming week off through Memorial Day. 18 days of work for me, woooo hooo!

Homecoming

Ryan's homecoming was better than I ever could have expected, or imagined. Everything has been wonderful! We've spent time together, we've seen friends, we've done things around the house. Our most exciting thing has been our purchase of 2 kayaks with some of his extra duty money. We had so much fun trynig them out. I'm so thrilled to have him home. Our life seems even better than it did before he left. We both grew so much on our own and that has helped us grow as a couple. I am so thankful for my husband!

Ryan is supposed to be home tomorrow, Wednesday. I'm so excited! WOO HOO!!!

4 Days!

I am so excited! Ryan is supposed to be coming home Wednesday the 10th. I can't wait. It's going to be a long 4 days I'm sure. I am scrapbooking with Ruby and Susan, friends from work today. Then tomorrow I have church and working at preschool at church. Monday I have a faculty meeting and community group for church in the evening. Tuesday is running with Lisa and watching the Gilmore Girls season finale!!! I'm way excited about that, probably more excitement than is necessary. Then it will be WEDNESDAY!!! Sometimes I feel like January 3rd was forever ago. Other times I'm surprised time has gone as fast as it has. Thanks to everyone who put up with my sadness.

Well, Ryan is supposed to be back on the 10th, which is officially less than a week away. I'm so excited!!! Today I ran 7 miles straight, my longest distance yet. I was excited, though it was tough today. I'm looking into doing some 5K's this summer and possibly the Rock and Roll 1/2 marathon in VA Beach this fall. We'll see what Ryan wants to do, since we will be joined at the hip for quite awhile!
