She was 33 1/4 inches tall, which is 90th percentile, so she is a tall one. Her weight was 25 lbs 6 oz, which was only 50th percentile...not sure how because she eats like nobody's buisness! And her head was 18 1/2 inches which was 75th percentile.
Everything else was good! The ped says she speaks very clearly and understands a lot. She reccommended ditching the paci NOW, which is only for nap/bed...yikes! I asked about potty training and toddler bed and she said both at age 3...which seems late for the potty training at least...but she said since Natalie communicates and understands well it could be earlier (I know I was 22 months old and I was reading by age 3, so I could have read about potty training by then says my mom!)
Here are some pics I took to celebrate the day!

Love the second pic. Very classic and chic lol I don't know about Potty Training. Annie was interested in it when she was a couple months younger than N was now... but she still hasn't gotten the hang of it. As for the bed... Annie is in her OWN REGULAR bed with no rails or anything, so... that's another sort of difference with dr reccommendation. It kind of freaks me out when she does things early, but each kid is different.
she is too cute!
YEA for little miss growing so well and big! I can't believe how big she really is. I remember her so little. I was looking at the pics from when we were there in April and she looks totally different now. Time flies! I love all your pics I might have to get a new camera soon (even though mines only a year old hehehehe). :) Hope little miss still is ok tonight!
I love that second picture! Rylan had shots today too! All I know about potty training is that if you were to put her in preschool she'd have to be trained by 3. I would think starting at 2 or 2 1/2 would be good, or whenever she decides she wants to do it!

Yeah, 3 does sound late, but I'm sure she will tell you when she's ready. The pics are great... What a pretty little girl!
we have already started the potty training on Zach and he's already in the todler bed too. So Why your Dr. told you 3 years old i'm a little confused on? Did he say why you need to wait so long? McCayla was potty trained by 2 - 2 1/2 so I'm really confused on that. I personally think the waiting is babying them way to much. I spoke with a daycare worker and she has the 2 yo. and she sayes they start at 1 - 2 and finish it up during the 2's. Hmm Oh well I guess if the Dr. knows best then follow what they say.
What a cute little gal. I think you should definitely attempt potty training before the age of 3! Like you, I was potty trained early too. Plus Natalie seems pretty smart. I say you give it a shot! Hilary
It's Jamie...
Bean still sleeps in a crib because she needs to be "trapped" in order to shut her brain down enough to go to sleep. She'll sleep in a regular bed without any issues, it's just getting her to fall asleep when there's nothing holding her in... ha.
We've started potty training, I tried once before and she wasn't into it so I stopped. I see moms at daycare forcing it on their kids and the kids are unhappy and have accidents and get yelled at by their parents and so we're easing into it. She was ecstatic when I get her "Bean's potty" and while have yet to use it, she loves to take off her pants and and sit on it. Unfortunately she still pees in her diaper and then says "Mommy, we sit on potty?" and takes off her pants and diaper. So.. we're still working on the kinks. She'll get the hang of it. =)
