22 Weeks
Here's a summary of Week 21 since I got too behind to catch up on it!
How your baby's growing:
Your baby now weighs about three-quarters of a pound and is approximately 10 1/2 inches long — the length of a carrot. You may soon feel like she's practicing martial arts as her initial fluttering movements turn into full-fledged kicks and nudges. You may also discover a pattern to her activity as you get to know her better. In other developments, your baby's eyebrows and lids are present now, and if you're having a girl, her vagina has begun to form as well.

And now for week 22!
How your baby's growing:
At 11 inches (the length of a spaghetti squash) and almost 1 pound, your baby is starting to look like a miniature newborn. His lips, eyelids, and eyebrows are becoming more distinct, and he's even developing tiny tooth buds beneath his gums. His eyes have formed, but his irises (the colored part of the eye) still lack pigment. If you could see inside your womb, you'd be able to spot the fine hair (lanugo) that covers his body and the deep wrinkles on his skin, which he'll sport until he adds a padding of fat to fill them in. Inside his belly, his pancreas — essential for the production of some important hormones — is developing steadily.

SOLD!
In this day and age, selling a house is NOT easy. I know that God is GREAT because we've been so blessed. We recieved an offer on the 8th, and after our counter offer process we have now put our house under contract!!! Not only did it 'sell' in under 3 weeks, we had to turn down two more showings today, which was 15 showings in those three weeks. Our agent said we would be lucky to get one a week! We also sold the house for OVER, that's right, OVER our initial asking price!!! We plan on closing on the 10th, but possibly up til the 20th of July. Ryan's last day is either the 17th or the 27th of July so hopefully we will straighten out some more details soon.

Moving Updates
Ryan's first day on the new job is August 31st, so we will definately be moved by then, lol. We need to make a trip or 2 to sign insurance papers and start the house hunt on that end. We've already got a realtor and we've been searching through listing online. Things in our price range there are moving slow, so that's good for us as buyers!
On the selling front, we have now had 13 showings in about 3 weeks! We will be making a counter offer today, since all the paperwork has finally be turned on from our first offer that came a week and a half ago. We're going to have our realtor get in touch with the other parties that showed signifigant interest to see if they want in on the action. Plus, we had 3 showings yesterday that need to be followed up on!
I feel VERY blessed that is in this market we have gotten such a HUGE response on our house. Now I know we are just waiting for the right person and offer to take our place in this home. The timing has worked out for the best with everything else. The job is exactly what Ryan was looking for. I have to know that the only way all of this has worked out is through God, and I am so thankful to have such a great life!
PS I know I am behind a week on my belly pics - with all the buzz here, and Ryan working nights/12 hour shifts the last week things have been a bit crazy!

Home Updates
We have had one offer, but we are waiting on some paperwork that was not included. We will definately counter offer because the price was good, but we were asked to pay "all closing costs, points, prepaids, and any other costs".
We had another showing today, which makes 6 in just under 2 weeks of being on the market. We have someone else who is interested in the house but has not put it in writing yet.
All in all, I am very pleased with how things are going. I know everything will work out for the best price and timing, as everything else has come to pass so far. Ryan's paperwork is at it's final stop in Denver, so we should have his seperation and starting dates by Wednesday!

20 Weeks
Halfway there!! Well, a little bit more if he's late like Natalie - or maybe sooner since he is already measuring ahead of schedule by 5 days.
Your baby weighs about 10 1/2 ounces now. He's also around 6 1/2 inches long from head to bottom and about 10 inches from head to heel — the length of a banana. (For the first 20 weeks, when a baby's legs are curled up against his torso and hard to measure, measurements are taken from the top of his head to his bottom — the "crown to rump" measurement. After 20 weeks, he's measured from head to toe.)
He's swallowing more these days, which is good practice for his digestive system. He's also producing meconium, a black, sticky by-product of digestion. This gooey substance will accumulate in his bowels, and you'll see it in his first soiled diaper (some babies pass meconium in the womb or during delivery).

It's A...
BOY!!! Jacob Ryan looks happy and healthy! We are blessed to have a chance to raise one of each gender. Natalie is adjusting to the idea, she wanted a girl baby. She is already calling him baby Jacob.

Here are some cute pics of her wearing a tutu I made. We're having a playdate tonight and I wanted to get a demo done!

19 Weeks
Look for a post tomorrow with the results of the ultrasound - hooray!
How your baby's growing:
Your baby's sensory development is exploding! Her brain is designating specialized areas for smell, taste, hearing, vision, and touch. Some research suggests that she may be able to hear your voice now, so don't be shy about reading aloud, talking to her, or singing a happy tune if the mood strikes you.
Your baby weighs about 8 1/2 ounces and measures 6 inches, head to bottom — about the size of a large heirloom tomato. Her arms and legs are in the right proportions to each other and the rest of her body now. Her kidneys continue to make urine and the hair on her scalp is sprouting. A waxy protective coating called the vernix caseosa is forming on her skin to prevent it from pickling in the amniotic fluid.

For Sale
It's official, our house is on the market today! Check out our link!
608 Cavalier Drive
Please pray that we get a good offer and it's not sitting on the market for too long. With a 2 year old, a dog, and being a preggo it's hard to keep this place in a 'showing' state. Plus I am not good at waiting for much of anything!
2 days until the ultrasound - Friday at 1:30!!

Weekend Wedding
On Friday, some friends of ours from church got married. It was a nice ceremony and the food at the reception was yummy! Now they are off enjoying a week in the Bahamas. Meanwhile, we got the house painted and ready to go on the market this Tuesday. Here's us before the wedding - and check out Ryan in the first suit he's ever worn (at least since I've been around). I think he looks handsome! I was happy to get a maternity dress at Target on clearance for 6.98 so I had something fun to wear too!

18 Weeks
Only one week (29th) until we find out if this baby Windle is a boy or a girl. Natalie says she wants a brother, but if I ask do you want a boy baby or girl baby she says girl. Everytime I'm eating or drinking she asks if I am feeding the baby. She will also lift up my shirt to kiss the baby, or feed it herself. She's really excited! We went to Wendy's tonight after Plaza to celebrate the big news (if you don't know what I'm talking about, see the post below this one). Natalie gives rice and beans, and ice cream, 2 thumbs up. Look close and you can see Frosty all over her face!
I should also mention she's been coughing the last few days. I took her in today and she was diagnosed with an ear infection. One of her tubes is in the canal, so it's working it's way out of her ear with all the fluid that has been leaking with this infection. She's also on antibiotics and a decongestant. Poor thing!
How your baby's growing:
Head to rump, your baby is about 5 1/2 inches long (about the length of a bell pepper) and he weighs almost 7 ounces. He's busy flexing his arms and legs — movements that you'll start noticing more and more in the weeks ahead. His blood vessels are visible through his thin skin, and his ears are now in their final position, although they're still standing out from his head a bit. A protective covering of myelin is beginning to form around his nerves, a process that will continue for a year after he's born. If you're having a girl, her uterus and fallopian tubes are formed and in place. If you're having a boy, his genitals are noticeable now, but he may hide them from you during an ultrasound.

A New Chapter
Today we found out that Ryan is APPROVED to move to Whiteman AFB and work as an Air Reserve Technician! We are very excited about the prospect of living about 3 hours from both of our families and a lot of our friends. It's also exciting to look for a new house that will better fit our growing family. The cost of living is also much more reasonable so we're looking forward to that as well.
We are also sad to close a chapter of life in the military as well as here in Virigina. Through www.tidewatermommies.com and www.watersedgechurch.net we have made some of the best friends for ourselves and Natalie. We are always busy and full of things to do with great people. I'm nervous that I won't find these same types of connections in a new town. We really put roots down here, and I'm sad to pull them up. Hopefully we've impacted others the way they have impacted us. This is our home and I hate leaving anything/anyone behind.
So the next few months we will be very busy trying to get all the details worked out as well as selling our home. Keep us in your prayers, and thank you to those who prayed for a quick decision. Instead of the 3-8 weeks we were expected to wait, we were told in less than a week.

Doctor Appointment
Well no gender yet, but the heartrate is 153 and everything looks great so far. The doctor is going to bring up my tailbone issue to the rest of the staff. I guess I'm a medical mystery! So no news on what type of delivery I will have. I'm almost halfway done, woo hoo!

17 Weeks
How your baby's growing:
Your baby's skeleton is changing from soft cartilage to bone, and the umbilical cord — her lifeline to the placenta — is growing stronger and thicker. Your baby weighs 5 ounces now (about as much as a turnip), and she's around 5 inches long from head to bottom. She can move her joints, and her sweat glands are starting to develop.

Possibility - Need Prayers - Update - Again
We've had a process going on for awhile now, and I was finally able to spill the beans about it and ask for some prayers.
Ryan has been offered a job at Whiteman AFB as a technician. He'd do the same job he does now, only as a guard member. But, he would be a civilian mainly, so we'd have some changes like no military insurance (might be a good thing?) or privliges like the comissary and shopping.
We are in the process of a program called Palace Chase where the Air Force decides if they will let him out of his active duty contract and change it to a guard one. Active duty Air Force is overstaffed in his rank at 140%. So chances are they will let him out.
They have up to 8 weeks to let us know if he is approved. If he is approved it will be a quick quick time for us to sell the house and move. Although we have made Virginia home for the past 5 years through our church, jobs, and www.tidewatermommies.com, we are excited about the possibilities that lie ahead.
Ryan loves his job, and he could continue that, while we would be closer to home for things we were planning on missing like 10 year reunions, weddings, etc. Please be thinking of us. And no that no matter what, we love ALL of you and hate tough decisions like this!
UPDATE
Ryan's commander disapproved him, but we still send it on the personnel center and they have the final say.
SECOND UPDATE
Ryan has someone call before he turned in the paperwork. So far they said he would likely be approved in his job category, they are turning down jobs that deploy a lot. They also told him that it does not matter whether the commander approves or disapproves.

How your baby's growing:
Get ready for a growth spurt. In the next few weeks, your baby will double his weight and add inches to his length. Right now, he's about the size of an avocado: 4 1/2 inches long (head to rump) and 3 1/2 ounces. His legs are much more developed, his head is more erect than it has been, and his eyes have moved closer to the front of his head. His ears are close to their final position, too. The patterning of his scalp has begun, though his locks aren't recognizable yet. He's even started growing toenails. And there's a lot happening inside as well. For example, his heart is now pumping about 25 quarts of blood each day, and this amount will continue to increase as your baby continues to develop.

Disney World
We are still here and having a blast! We have gone to Epcot and spent 2 days at the Magic Kingdom. Natalie is having SUCH a great time. We are here with the Perry's and the Donaldson family (AND the Skasdem's)so we've had lots of great friends to play with. Today is our resting day and we went for a character breakfast with Lilo and Stich, Mickey, and Pluto. Here are a couple pics, and I'll post links to the full albums.
