Anniversary Gift

Ryan and I celebrated our anniversary on the day after Valentine's Day. We went to Texas Roadhouse for dinner and saw the movie Taken. The reason I am posting this SO late is my anniversary present finally arrived today! We always give the traditional gift and this year is our 5th so we are supposed to give something made of wood. The picture is below! I am THRILLED! I have wanted one of these for so long. Thanks honey I love you!

Flashback Friday

Since 2/27/07 was Natalie's 'first' birthday, and today she turned 2. Here she is as a bitty baby.

Seeing these pictures makes it so hard to believe how fast 2 years have gone by. It's also making me anticipate taking these pictures with the newest baby Windle later this year. Happy second birthday to my first baby. You will always hold a very special place in my heart because you made us a family.

Natalie's 2nd Birthday Party

When she came down this morning I had put up crepe paper and balloons and she said "Look! It's Christmas!' It was cute. She requested a Mickey cake and talked about her birthday all the way to and from the Y. I didn't think she would be as into it as she was. We had a nice party during the day today with all Natalie's playgroup friends! The kids had some craft and playtime. She got lots of baby doll stuff, dress up clothes, roller skates, puzzles, a big sister shirt, and more!

Week 6

Baby Windle is just growing and growing. Why do I have an elephant on the baby ticker? Well before Natalie was born Ryan decided he wanted her to have a bunny to drag around by the ear. We figured we didn't need 2 bunnies, so he thought the new baby can drag an elephant by the trunk. Also, I've seen girly pink elephants or boyish elephants so it works for us!

So far so good still for me. I don't feel pregnant or have any symptoms as of yet. I talked to the trainer at the YMCA and he said I can continue all my normal weights and cardio until at least the 2nd trimester and he can show me some new exercises. I'm really worried about staying strong in my back and abs to keep from having tailbone pain during the pregnancy.

Reason #1 Natalie Needs a Sibling

Here she is trying to share all her Mardi Gras necklaces with Drake. When she's not putting 'pretties' on herself, she is putting them on Drake. Or, decorating the house with them. She hangs them on all the doorknobs.

2 Year Appointment

I can't believe Natalie will be 2 on Friday! We went to the doctor and no shots today! She was 28.4 pounds which is in the 50th%. She was 2 feet and 11 1/2 inches and that puts her in the 90th%. He did mention she needs a referral to the ENT to have one of her tubes taken out. Other than that he said she is great! I got a high five for having her potty trained and he said it is fine that she is still in the crib too! I'm so blessed to have a healthy little girl!

Today in the car she said "I'm frustgrated". I asked her why and she said "I can't get my kitty watch off". Poor thing! I'm surprised she used the word in the right context. She's SO ready for preschool!

Flashback Friday

I am stealing this idea from SEVERAL of my friends, and their friends. LOL. Anyway, this picture takes us back to when I was in 5th grade. Note the L.A. Gear tennishoes and the iron on/puff paint sweats. As you can see I was always meant to be a mom/teacher. Laugh it up.

Week 5

LOL sorry these are so close together! But here is the latest change!

A New Project

So I have been waiting nine months, well really 10, to get an embroidery machine. Well, I finally have one!! Ryan and I are thrilled. His first response was really positive. He thinks it will be a good addition to my sewing family. I started working on this onesie this afternoon and thought I'd post the pictures of it on the blog for everyone to see. The first try turned out great, so here some pictures of my second labor of love!

Just For Susan

Things have been busy as usually, but even busier since we just came back from vacation. After getting home at 3am on Saturday, we slept til 9 and started unpacking our load from the car!!! We took our petsitter and his girlfriend out to dinner. Sunday was chuch and dinner with The Donaldsons. Monday was the Y, playgroup and SEWING. Tuesday was the Y, gymnastics, and a card making playdate (pictures below)and MORE SEWING. Wednesday was the Y, the park, lunch with friends, and EVEN MORE SEWING. Thursday I was subbing and babysitting for Sondra's date night.

So, finally I have a few quiet moments before the girls wake up to post some pictures from our playdates this week. They just sat over there playing with pretties!

These are the girls at the card making playdate. The boys and the babies were not interested in the stair picture!

This is the cookie playdate Sondra took the girls to while I was working.

First Haircut

At 23 months I bit the bullet and took Natalie for her first haircut. She sat in the chair just fine and didn't shed a tear. Although we only trimmed about half an inch, it was nice to find her part and get the bangs out of her face a bit. Here are a few pictures of the trek.

Natalie's Early Family Birthday

Natalie will be 2 on February 27th, but we celebrated early with our family and friends. She was much more into the whole party and presents this year. We asked her if she wanted cake or presents first, and of course she chose CAKE!!! She got so excited when we sang happy birthday, she started clapping and saying "yay I'm so excited". She got some cute clothes, belts for her plumber butt, slippers, toys and a recorder which she LOVES to play. My mom picked up a Snow White costume for her to wear to Disney world.

Whirlwind Wedding

We have been celebrating my friend Meghan's wedding over the last few days. We have been friends since 4th grade, which makes it 20 years now! She lives in Australia so we had a whirlwind party on Thursday, rehersal on Friday, and wedding on Saturday. It was a great time and I got to see all my high school friends!

Guy Time

Natalie enjoys spending time with her two favorite guys! She loves to eat 'butter fork' with Popaw. She is definately a daddy's girl - she is always hugging on him. Today she kept grabbing his face and turning it to her and saying 'look at me' then gave him a big kiss!

Fun With Friends and Family

BRRR! It's cold here! Natalie is modeling her new white 'fur' coat. She had a 2T that was mine when I was little, but now we've moved up to the 3T!

I am surprised that at almost 2 years old that Natalie knows how to pose like she is in high school! She attached herself to her all night!

Party Sunday

We went to our friend Kelly's daughters baptism. She is the one that I cut up her wedding dress and made a baptism gown. Let me tell you, out of the 4 babies there, Peyton was the best dressed! Her dress sparkled and she looked like an angel! Natalie is not used to sitting in church with us, but she did a really great job! Carter and Natalie were walking around hugging, kissing, and holding hands before the service began. Then, when the called kids to go up for a message, she went, but they actually take the kids to another room! Her and her friend Maddie didn't notice people were leaving so they just stood up front dancing and laughing. The whole church thought it was hysterical. Finally, Maddie's dad helped them to the room. The service was beautiful. Then we went to a small party to celebrate the day, as well as Carter's second birthday.

Out and About

Went out with some of my girls last night. It's been awhile, but a good time as always. I had won a bet with Ryan about a friend's husband's name earlier in the week so I got to sleep in today which made it even better to go out last night! We had a good time catching up and dancing the night away!

Hmmm...

No pictures, no news!! It's been awhile since I've posted an update. I've been busy busy busy finding deals this weekend, as well as catching up on some sewing. I got 3 outfits finished and mailed out. Now I'm working on some carriers and nursing covers. I'll be taking a little break the next 2 days because I'm subbing at my old school! I'm trying to squeeze in sewing and subbing jobs to save fun money for Disney!

Ryan is back to work and in the swing of things. He passed both his classes last semester with B's! He starts a new class soon and is taking the math clep. So he is busy working and studying. I got him a few odd jobs working on some friends cars as well.

Natalie is just Natalie! She's been a HUGE eater lately thanks to a Christmas present from my mom. I got the cookbook Deceptively Delicious. You use pureed vegetables in all kinds of recipes! We're all enjoying them.

I'll try to get some pictures this week!
